Honestly the origin and inspiration behind them is kind of interesting (maybe I'll eventually share it someday), but for now the answer is "sort of". Definitely their own thing nowadays either way, heh.

This is really adorable! Very good piece, such clean lines and good colours. Plus it depicts a relatively minor char from the legendarily good game, which is always a plus in my books.
